Eligibility Requirements
To serve as an election worker, you are required to be (1) a District resident and (2) a registered voter in the District.
You will be selected based upon need. If positions are available, you will be contacted by BOEE staff a few months prior to the election. Not all applicants are selected to serve and not all applicants selected are assigned to their home polling place.
Work Requirements
Election workers must perform the following tasks:
  • Complete a training class prior to the election (typically about 2-4 hours in length).

  • Assist in setting up the polling place for a few hours the day before the election.

  • Work at the polling place on Election Day from approximately 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.
