Eligibility Requirements
To serve as an election worker, you are required to be:

A registered voter in the District (Precinct Captions must be registered voters)
A High School or Colleges student or graduate who is at least 16 years of age and resides in the District
You will be selected based upon need. If positions are available, you will be contacted by BOE staff a few months prior to the election. Not all applicants are selected to serve and not all applicants selected are assigned to their own polling place.
Work Requirements
Election workers must perform the following tasks:
  • Complete a training class prior to the election

  • Assist in setting up the polling place for a few hours the day before the election.

  • And work at an assigned polling place on Election Day from 6 a.m. until released by the Precinct Captain Election night
